This exhibition put together by the archaeological museum reflects the changes that Roman emperors brought to Egyptian life after the tragic love affair of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony. It features clothing, household goods, literature and cultural and religious artefacts. 'Emporers' may motivate one to make the half-hour train trip to Leiden's Rijksmuseum van Oudheden (Rapenburg 28; 31 71 516 31 63) whose priceless exhibition 'Pharaohs of the Sun', goes back over 3000 years to recreate the lives of Achnaton, Nefertiti and Tutanchamon.
